Our precious wood warehouse in Rotenturm is the largest kiln-dried timber warehouse for precious woods in Austria.
In our air-conditioned halls you will find an impressive selection of up to 20 types of wood – from fine maple, pear and ash to an exquisite stone pine.
We source 90% of our wood from within a radius of around 100 km. We treat each piece of wood individually and guarantee optimum processing moisture.

Our technology, including a specially developed suction pile robot – the first of its kind in Europe – enables the precise measurement, sorting and moisture measurement of each piece.

Our company was founded generations ago by Johann Fischer. Hans-Joachim Fischer, his son, took over the management in the third generation.
Today, the successful company is managed by Ing. Bernhard Fischer, MSc, the fourth generation of the family. The history of Fischer Holz began over 90 years ago, when Johann Fischer hooked railroad ties at the train station in Rotenturm and used the proceeds to build his first sawmill in Penzendorf near Hartberg.
This heritage still shapes the values and visions of our company today and forms the foundation for strong partnerships, trustworthiness and high-quality products that will continue to set standards in the future.
